Welcome
The City of Coburg is studying the current transportation system to determine how it can best serve the long-term (20-year) needs of Coburg’s residents, businesses, and visitors. The result of this study will be a Transportation System Plan (TSP) that will include all transportation modes, including freight, pedestrians and bicyclists, transit, and cars.
Your involvement in this project is very important! To learn more about the history and purpose of the project, read about the project background. Public involvement will be crucial to the success of this project—crucial to understanding the goals of the community for the development of Coburg over the next 20 years.
What's New?
- An Open House was held on Thursday, December 6th at the Coburg Fire District Building. Learn more about the event and check out the project display boards and workshop summary on the Get Involved page.
- This summer, the TSP technical team has developed a draft list of transportation issues in Coburg and drafted new and revised policies for the TSP. Work will continue through the summer and fall, with a draft TSP available in late 2012.
- The Existing Conditions Report, the Plan and Policy Review, display boards from the 2011 Open House and the Stakeholder Interview Summaries are available in the Resources Section.
- At the end of July, the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) began construction work on the Interstate 5 Coburg Interchange project. This project will improve the safety and efficiency of travel on streets in Coburg and Interstate 5. Learn more about the project on ODOT’s project website.
