Conversations - October 2011
On October 21st, the Transportation Community Resource Group (TCRG) met to discuss how the Sustainable Transportation Analysis and Rating System (STARS) framework could be used to inform the Eugene Transportation System Plan and, more specifically, identify and prioritize the Plan’s goals and objectives. Goals and objectives will be used to evaluate potential actions, projects, and funding priorities in the new Transportation System Plan.
After a lively discussion about what it means to strive for a sustainable transportation system, the participants provided much useful information about the draft goals and objectives, as seen in the meeting notes. Although the objectives were not prioritized by the end of the day, enough information was received so a new generation of goals and objectives will be crafted for TCRG review.
