August 2, 2011 - Bicycle, pedestrian, and transportation demand management

In August, the TCRG met to talk about bicycle, pedestrian, and transportation demand managment as it relates to the long-range planning process.  The group used an interactive tool to compare the options for street use (landscaping, sidewalks, bikelanes, transit only lanes, car/truck lanes, etc.), then each smaller group developed their ideal street cross-section (to include the street features that they valued).

TCRG members work on creating an ideal roadway cross-section.

The tool let TCRG members choose the types of road features (bikes, trees/landscaping, pedestrian, transit, cars, etc.).
