Developing the Transportation System Plan (TSP) involved gathering information and ideas from residents, business owners, and other stakeholders in Springfield. There are no more public events planned.
The City of Springfield hosted project meetings and open houses at key project milestones.
Listening Station - Friday, June 14, 2013
A "listening station" for the project was held on Friday, June 14 at Sprout! Farmers Market, between 3 and 7 pm (read the poster to learn more). The listening station allowed people visiting the farmers market to learn about the potential project ideas and the TSP in general. Thanks to the more than 40 people that stopped to talk with the project staff and provide comments. Even more comments were collected through an online questionnaire. These comments will help the project team write the TSP over the following months.
Open House - Wednesday, April 4, 2012
An open house for the project was held on Wednesday, April 4 at the Willamalane Adult Activity Center, between 4 and 7 pm. The project team collected ideas from the public about ways to improve transportation in Springfield over the next 20 years. Read the poster and press release to learn more. Comments were collected on the potential improvement ideas for the five areas of Springfield at the open house and on this website.
Workshop - Thursday, February 10, 2011
Springfield Community Workshop was held on February 10, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The workshop was held at Springfield City Hall. Read more about the event in a flyer. You can also review the display boards and other materials presented at the workshop.
Stakeholder Advisory Committee
The City of Springfield invited community and stakeholder group representatives to participate in a Stakeholder Advisory Committee (SAC) that met five times to provide input on the development of the TSP. All SAC meetings were advertised on this web site and were open to the general public.
